I don’t know about you, but Luxor and MGM MIRAGE love interns! They are an amazing group of people.
We have a few programs– MAP, HIP and ADIP- that are really great. I didn’t go through them myself, so I don’t know the nitty gritty ins and outs. However, we’ve had two interns from those programs spend several weeks with us in the Marketing Department. I must say, they were a HUGE help to us and I think (hope) they learned a lot about Hotel Marketing while at it.
Since then, a few people (mostly recently grad students) have asked me about interning with our department. Our latest and greatest Intern is Roq. He heads up VIP services for our nightclub, LAX. He’s also part owner of the Mad Hattery, an upscale cupcake store. [side note: their cupcakes are amazing. Even our VP of Marketing ate one and he NEVER eats sweets!].
Anyway, I’m really excited to have Roq as the newest temporary member of our team! And no, not just because he promises to bring cupcakes often 🙂
